At the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City, Russia, Expedition 56 crew member Sergey Prokopyev of Roscosmos signs in for the final day of Soyuz qualification exams May 11. Looking on is his crewmate, NASA’s Serena Auñón-Chancellor. Prokopyev, Auñón-Chancellor and Alexander Gerst of the European Space Agency will launch June 6 on the Soyuz MS-09 spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan for a six-month mission on the International Space Station.
