(Editor's Note: For orientation purposes, view should be rotated 90 degrees to left) One of the astronauts aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia used a digital still camera to capture this image of Cataract Canyon (foreground) cutting across the Colorado Plateau to join the Grand Canyon. It runs toward the northwest to become Havasu Canyon and then join the Grand Canyon on the south near Supai. The Grand Canyon itself is under cloud, along the top, and bends around to continue along the left as well.
