Cockrell mans the pilot’s station of a high-fidelity Shuttle trainer at the Johnson Space Center (JSC) during a rehearsal of procedures for launch and entry phases of the STS-69 flight. The pilot joined four other NASA astronauts for the training session. STS-69 is scheduled for later this year. The Crew Compartment Trainer (CCT) in the Systems Engineering Facility has been the site for a large portion of the crew’s Houston-based preparations for the mission aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour.
