Astronaut James A. Lovell Jr., pilot of the Gemini-7 spacecraft, walks up the ramp at Pad 19 during the Gemini-7 prelaunch countdown. Lovell and fellow astronaut Frank Borman, command pilot, entered the elevator which took them up to the White Room and their waiting spacecraft. Gemini-7 was successfully launched at 2:30 p.m. (EST), Dec. 4, 1965.
