The Rio Negro, pictured from the International Space Station at an orbit of 269 miles, splits into the Neuquen River and Limay River at the city of Neuquen in Argentina. The Neuquen leads to the artificial lakes of Pellegrini, Mari Menuco and Los Barreales Lake as it goes northwest. The Loimay heads towards the southwest and leads to the artificial Lake Ezequiel Ramos Mexia.
