A view of Hadley Rille photographed at Station 2 during the first Apollo 15 lunar surface extravehicular activity (EVA) at the Hadley-Apennine landing site. This picture was taken with a 70mm Hasselblad camera using a 500mm focal length lens. The sun elevation was 20 degrees. This view is looking down into the rille. While astronauts David R. Scott, commander; and James B. Irwin, lunar module pilot, descended in the Lunar Module (LM) to explore the moon, astronaut Alfred M. Worden, command module pilot, remained with the Command and Service Modules (CSM) in lunar orbit.
