Through the open door of Astrotech Space Operations in Titusville, Fla., the encapsulated GOES-N spacecraft rolls out during the early morning, heading for Launch Complex 37 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. There it will be mated to the Boeing Delta IV launch vehicle. The encapsulation protects the spacecraft during liftoff. Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES) are sponsored by NASAs Goddard Space Flight Center and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Launch is scheduled for June 23.
