Astronaut Jeffrey N. Williams, mission specialist, appears suspended over Earth in this 70mm photograph documenting part of the 6-hour, 44-minute space walk which he shared with astronaut James S. Voss and which began on May 21 and ended on May 22, 2000. Astronauts Williams and Voss also secured a United States-built crane that was installed on the station last year, replaced a faulty antenna for one of the station's communications systems; and installed several handrails and a camera cable on the station's exterior.
