Students and others not only got a chance to meet astronauts at a special event on Jan. 19 at Space Center Houston, near the Johnson Space Center, but were also able to see a model of a NASA space shuttle and interface with key personnel who support human space flight. Barbara Morgan, an educator astronaut in training for STS-118 and a crewmate, Canadian astronaut Dafydd R. (Dave) Williams, joined ground support personnel and others in making a presentation and answering questions for students and members of the news media.
