The International Space Station's fine-tuned robotic hand, the Special Purpose Dexterous Manipulator (SPDM), also known as Dextre, is pictured attached to the U.S. Destiny laboratory module as the orbiting lab flew 270 miles above the southern Pacific Ocean. Dextre is part of the station's Mobile Servicing System, also comprised of the Canadarm2 robotic arm and the Mobile Base System, provided by the Canadian Space Agency.
