The waxing gibbous Moon is pictured above Earth's horizon from the International Space Station as it orbited 261 miles over the northern Pacific Ocean. At the time of this photograph the Orion vehicle on the Artemis I mission was almost 24,000 miles away from the Moon and approximately 222,200 miles from Earth traveling at a speed of 3,076 miles per hour.
