Outside the Cosmonaut Hotel crew quarters in Baikonur, Kazakhstan, NASA astronauts Michael Barratt, Expedition 19 flight engineer and his backup, Jeffrey Williams, raise the American flag March 13, 2009 in the traditional ceremony conducted as part of the preflight preparations for the launch of the Soyuz TMA-14 spacecraft to the International Space Station. Barratt, cosmonaut Gennady Padalka, Expedition 19 commander; and U.S. spaceflight participant Charles Simonyi are scheduled to launch to the complex from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on March 26.
