In the Orbiter Processing Facility, workers help guide the nose cap of the orbiter Atlantis toward a stand. The cap was removed from the orbiter for routine inspection. The nose cap is made of reinforced carbon-carbon (RCC), which has an operating range of minus 250 degrees F to about 3,000 degrees F.
