A model of the space shuttle Atlantis and a bouquet of roses with a very heartwarming and lengthy back-story sit atop the INCO console in the space shuttle flight control room in the Mission Control Center of NASA's Johnson Space Center. The Shelton and Murphy families of North Texas have been sending roses to the control center staff ever since the STS-26 or Return to Flight mission of the space shuttle Discovery in 1988. The photo was taken during the July 12 spacewalk by NASA astronauts Mike Fossum and Ron Garan on the International Space Station.
