Mission Pilot Brian Duffy at work in the SPACEHAB on the Tools and Diagnostic Systems experiment concerned with determining if a space vehicle crewmember will have the manual dexterity and physical stability to perform simple maintenance tasks such as soldering electrical connections. Part of the task was to also evaluate two types of foot restraint devices to improve physical stability. One uses adjustible foot loops; the other an arrangement of bars.
