STS-48 Mission Specialist (MS) Mark N. Brown looks away from the portable laptop computer screen to pose for an electronic still camera (ESC) photo on the aft flight deck of Discovery, Orbiter Vehicle (OV) 103. Brown was working at the payload station before the interruption. Crewmembers were testing the ESC as part of Development Test Objective (DTO) 648, Electronic Still Photography. The digital image was stored on a removable hard disk or small optical disk and could be converted to a format suitable for downlink transmission.
