In the Baikonur Cosmodrome Museum in Kazakhstan, NASA astronaut Steve Swanson, Expedition 39 flight engineer and Expedition 40 commander, signs a banner March 21 bearing the insignia of the 2014 Winter Olympics that concluded in February in Sochi, Russia. Swanson and his crewmates are preparing for launch to the International Space Station. Swanson, Soyuz Commander Alexander Skvortsov of the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) and Flight Engineer Oleg Artemyev of Roscosmos are wrapping up training for their launch to the station March 26, Kazakh time, on the Soyuz TMA-12 spacecraft for a six-month mission on the orbital laboratory.
