In the Operations and Checkout Building, the instrument racks for the Life and Microgravity Science (LMS) primary that will fly aboard the Space Shuttle Orbiter Columbia during the STS-78 mission are fitted into the Spacelab module that will house the LMS experiments. During the 16-day space flight, the seven-member crew will conduct the LMS experiments to continue NASA's research on the effects of microgravity on humans, organisms, and materials.
