This type training is designed to prepare the crew members for emergency ejection or egress from a shuttle in trouble. The first crew to man the ISS, which includes these two cosmonauts along with U.S. astronaut William Shepherd, mission commander, will use the Space Shuttle Discovery to return to Earth once their expedition tour is complete.
