Utah's Great Salt Lake is pictured as the International Space Station orbited 255 miles above the southwestern United States. The distinct color differences in the lake is caused by a railroad causeway. The northern part of the lake (pointing right in this frame) has a much higher salinity than the southern freshwater portion of the lake.
