Retired U.S. Navy Admiral Harold Gehman (left), Chairman of the Columbia Accident Investigation Board (CAIB), presents a copy of the results of the panel's investigation to NASA Deputy Administrator Frederic Gregory, following a similar presentation to Administrator Sean O'Keefe (not pictured). The CAIB completed the report late last week after spending nearly seven months investigating the technical facts of the Feb. 1 accident and interviewing hundreds of NASA engineers and other agency employees. Administrator O'Keefe has pledged to return the Space Shuttle to safe flight when the agency demonstrates it's 'fit to fly.'
