This close-up view of an unpiloted Progress supply vehicle was taken by one of the Expedition 7 crewmembers onboard the International Space Station (ISS) as it departed from the Pirs Docking Compartment at 2:42 p.m. (CDT) on September 4, 2003. The Progress 11 will remain in orbit for another month as part of a Russian scientific experiment. It will then be de deorbited with its load of trash and unneeded equipment and burn in the Earth’s atmosphere.
