Flight Director Norm Knight (left) and Lead Expedition 7 ISS Flight Director John McCullough, seen here in Houston's Mission Control Center, were only two of the hundreds of people on the ground who joined in celebration of the birthday of astronaut Edward T. Lu. The astronaut, who calls Hawaii home, is currently serving as NASA ISS science officer on the International Space Station. His colleagues and friends at various NASA field centers sported typical Hawaiian dress throughout the special day.
